This fabulous Rustic Marble Top Pine Washstand with its tiled back and single drawer is the epitome of rustic charm and functionality.

With a base of an old pine two door cupboard and drawer below which was missing its top and a lovely marble top with a gallery back with beautiful Victorian floral tiles in a checkerboard style with deep burgundy tiles, this cupboard is a marriage made in heaven.

Picture this cabinet in a bathroom, housing towels and other bathroom necessities in its cupboard and single drawer. Stand a old jug and bowl on top to complete the nostalgic look.

Vintage touches

This is repurposing furniture in a truly wonderful way, with two items that may have ended up in a skip. The cupboard has seen lots of wear and tear, showing traces of old woodworm and some battle scars from a previous life. The marble is in good condition, but has not been fixed to the base (making it easier to move!), and as with all old tiled galleries the tiles are held in place by the frame not glued. It would be best to have this washstand placed against a wall to make it more secure when in place in your home. All in all this has made two unloved items a piece full of character and appeal.
